How to Mail a Postcard Overseas
Postcards are small pieces of mail that boast a photo on the front and a small space on the back to write a quick message and the address of the person to whom you want to send your postcard. They are not practical for sending lengthy messages or newsy letters to friends or family members but they are commonly used to send a quick message or "I miss you" to your loved ones while you are traveling. Postcards are easy to mail, less expensive than a regular letter and can be mailed anywhere in the world.

1
Write a short message to the recipient of the card on the back. There is a small section available for this on the left side of the rear of the card. Sign your name so the recipient knows who the postcard is from as there is no space on a postcard to place your return address.
-
2
Place the recipient's address on the back right side of the postcard where indicated. You need to include the recipient's name, street address, city, state and zip code or country and postal code as necessary.

3
Affix the appropriate postage to the postcard. To send a postcard internationally from the United States the cost is $.98. If you do not have the appropriate postage you can purchase it from any post office. Place the postcard in a postal box for mailing or leave it with a postal employee when you purchase postage.
