2
Wrap lights around columns in the banquet hall and around door frames. Again, use electrical tape or tacks in a neutral color to match the surface to which the lights are taped.

Place lights inside of white tulle to add even more ambiance to the room. The tulle fabric helps the lights to appear even softer, especially during a nighttime gathering. Use tacks to hang the tulle along the walls.

4
Plug your lights in with an extension cord. There is no guarantee the banquet hall you rent has outlets near where your lights will hang. Check with the banquet hall to see if they provide extension cords for you or if you need to provide your own.
