How to Make an Origami Devil
The trick to mastering an origami devil is to make numerous creases in the paper at the start of the process. Beginning the craft with proper creases enables you to subsequently fold the paper into many pointed shapes. Practice your devil making skills prior to Halloween or watching a scary movie and display your final work of art to wow family and friends.

1
Create the base creases. Place the paper onto a flat surface. Fold the paper in half from right to left. Crease the bend. Unfold the paper. Twist the paper 90 degrees. Fold the paper in half again from right to left. Crease the bend. Unfold the paper. Face one of the tips of paper toward you so it looks like a diamond. Bend the top half down over the bottom half. Crease the bend. Unfold the paper.
-
2
Fold the first one-third of the top, right side of the diamond in toward center. The fold resembles the shape of a right-angle triangle. Repeat for the top, left side. The paper now looks like two narrow triangles --- one aiming up and one aiming down.
-
-
3
Pinch the bottom quarter of the top triangle --- on the right side --- and bend it upward so the bottom line of the triangle is now on the center, vertical line. Repeat for the left side. You now have a very narrow diamond shape.
-
4
Fold the top one-eighth of the diamond tip downward. Fold the middle diamond tip all the way down.
-
5
Fold the bottom half of the diamond all the way up. The paper shape now resembles a triangle.
-
6
Fold the bottom half of the triangle up behind the body of the triangle. Crease the bend. You now have a triangle with a rectangle shape behind its lower half.
-
7
Turn the design over, so you are now looking at the back. Pull the top of the rectangle upward, leaving only one-eighth of the tip exposed at top. Crease the bend. The image now resembles a square with one tip at the top.
-
8
Squeeze the tip in half. Unfold the tip. The tip now resembles two horns that are flush side by side.
-
9
Fold the square up and to the left, at an angle. Pivot the fold at the top, right corner, so the fold is at a 45-degree angle. Crease the bend and unfold. Repeat by pivoting at the top, left corner. You now have the shape of an X throughout the square from the creases in the folds in this step.
-
10
Bend the top, center of the square down 90 degrees to the square's halfway point. Hold this bend. Bend the bottom, center of the square up 90 degrees to the square's halfway point. Crease the folds so the bends remain without the pinch. You now have 45-degree-angle folds in four different directions.
-
11
Turn the shape around so you are looking at the front once again. Your devil is now complete with pointed arms, legs and horns.
