How to Make a Princess Wand & Crown
No princess costume is complete without a crown and a wand. While you can always purchase these items at a party store or a costume shop, making your own will give them a more personal touch. If you are throwing a princess-themed party for a child in your life, letting the children make their own wands and crowns would be an easy party activity. Just assist the children through any part of the craft that could be dangerous.

Instructions
-
Princess Wand
-
1
Cover a wooden dowel with glitter glue. Cover one side, allow it to dry, then do the other side.
-
2
Tie the center of several thin ribbons, each about twice the length of the wooden dowel, around the top of the dowel.
-
-
3
Cut a star shape from a piece of craft foam.
-
4
Warm up your hot glue gun and glue the craft foam star to the top of the wooden dowel.
Princess Tiara
-
5
Cut a basic tiara shape from a piece of metallic poster board. The sides of the tiara shape should be straight and long enough to wrap around the head of the girl who will be wearing it. The center section of the tiara should be taller and scalloped.
-
6
Hot glue plastic jewels to the front of the tiara.
-
7
Wrap the tiara around the wearer's head, then secure it in place with a paper clip. This way, the tiara does not need to be exactly the size of the person's head.
