Craft Project: A Santa Claus Made From Balloons
Christmas decorations are a highlight of the holiday season. Creating your own holiday decorations can make family togetherness more special and entertaining during the Christmas season. Interesting and unconventional decorations also provide conversation starters during holiday parties. A decorative Santa Claus can be easily created with some well-placed balloons and a lot of glue. - Balloons in white, pink, blue and red
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Permanent marker

Blow up a normal sized balloon until fully inflated and tie the lip to contain the air. This will be Santa's head.

Draw a mouth on the bottom half of the front of the balloon. Scrunch up deflated white balloons and glue the crumpled balloons to the bottom half of the balloon to form Santa's beard.

Cut out almond shapes from a deflated blue balloon and glue them above the beard as Santa's eyes.

Inflate a pink balloon only enough to create a small, quarter-sized bubble of air. Tie off the balloon and cut off the excess ends. Glue the pink ball to the top of the beard as a nose.

Inflate a long, thin, white balloon and twist it into a ring. Place the ring around the top of the head balloon, above the eyes. This forms the rim of Santa's hat.

Glue the edges of deflated red balloons around the top of the white balloon brim. Continue gluing deflated red balloons to each other until they are long enough to meet in a cone shape above the balloon head. Glue the red balloons on the top together to create a point.

Inflate a white balloon only enough to create a small ball, 1 inch to 2 inches wide, and tie off the balloon. Glue the tied end of the balloon to the tip of the red, cone-shaped hat. Allow the hat to flop to the side with the ball on the end, as Santa Claus is often depicted.
