How to Deactivate the Lock Button on a Hormann
Hormann manufactures a large range of automatic garage door openers. The garage door openers have several locking mechanisms to ensure that your goods and vehicles are safely stored. If you are unable to deactivate the garage door lock, there are several different options for the homeowner. You will need access to the garage door remote control or the garage itself via an entrance from the house. Hormann also installs exterior wall controls prevent lock-outs. Does this Spark an idea?

Deactivate the lock on your Hormann automatic garage door from the outside by pressing the transmitter button on your remote control. If your remote control is malfunctioning or lost, press the wall control button mounted on the outside of the garage. Each garage owner will determine the position of the outside control button.

Unlock the garage door from within the garage by pressing the "T" key. The "T" key is located on the control mechanism on the roof of the garage. On the roof mount, find a large button on the top with "T" printed on it and press to engage door opener.

Disable the vacation lock function by pressing and holding the lock button for three seconds until the light on the control panel stops flashing. The vacation lock button will lock the garage door and it will not respond to the remote control. The lock button is located on the garage door control panel and has a picture of a lock on it. The control panel is located inside the garage.

Do not stand near the door when attempting to unlock it.
Forcing the door open will lead to damage.
