How to Start the Mini Game Bowling in "GTA 4"
Contrasting the deadly mayhem of the main story missions, "Grand Theft Auto IV" ("GTA 4") offers the option to play a leisurely game of bowling. The game works just like it does in real life, by knocking down pins and chasing that perfect "300" score. You can participate in this activity alone or with a computer-controlled acquaintance. Bowling with friends will raise your relationship stats, which can come in handy if you ever need their help during the game's missions.

Tips & Warnings
Invite a computer-controlled friend to bowl with you by choosing his or her name from the contact list in your Phonebook. Select "Bowling" from the list of activities that appears.
To get easy strikes, choose the left-most lane. When Niko grabs the ball, take two steps to the left. When shooting, hold the right analog stick down for one second, then push it slightly to the right with the forward swing. Bowl three strikes in a row to earn the "Gobble Gobble" achievement.
