How to Cut Scallions to Curl
Vegetable garnishes add character to an otherwise common entrée, including scallion curls. Scallions, or green onions, are a type of onion with a long white bulb and stem that feature a milder flavor than other types of onions. When prepared, scallions are cut into sections and cooled, during which time the green ends of the scallions naturally curl. To add flair to your favorite dishes, choose scallions that have brightly white roots, crisp green stalks and are not limp or slimy. Does this Spark an idea?
