Usually, a contractor will hire a drywaller to complete this installation but you can avoid the costs of subcontracting and complete the task on your own. You can expect this task to take several days to complete because you must allow time for the drywall compound to dry. Does this Spark an idea?

Tips & Warnings
Most ceilings will require a minimum of a ladder to help you reach the ceiling. If the room is relatively small, simply move the ladder around the room so you can reach the seams. If you have a large room or you are completing the ceilings in an entire house. You can rent scaffolding from a rental supply company. Scaffolding allows you to walk on a raised platform. This gives you the ability to cover larger areas without constantly moving a ladder. Scaffolding will help to speed up the process.
