How to Make a Chinstrap Beard
Famously worn by the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, the chin strap -- also known as a Donegal or chin curtain -- is at is most basic, a full beard with the mustache shaved off, running from the sideburns along the jawline. Grow your beard out until it is clearly more than stubble. This will make it easier to define the chinstrap.

Shave off your mustache.

Shave your neck hair to just below the jawline.

Shave your cheeks and the area just below your mouth.

Tips & Warnings
When defining your chinstrap, leave a wider strip of beard than desired. It's easier to narrow it down later, than to fix it -- if you cut too much hair off.
