Chrome faucets can not be soldered in the traditional way because the heat will melt the fixture, making even more of a problem.   • Cold weld
  • Shop towel
  • Petroleum-based spray lubricant
  • Chrome polish
  • Clean soft towel

Instructions

      Set the crack or split so the two sides fit together as they would if it were not damaged. Otherwise the result of the repair may look haphazard and uneven.

      Squeeze some cold weld product onto your finger and gently smear it onto the crack in the fixture. Ensure that the crack or split is completely covered with the cold weld. Allow the product to dry the recommended time according to the instructions on the tube.

      Clean off excess cold weld from around the repaired area using a shop towel and a petroleum-based spray lubricant. Gently clean the surface around the repair to remove dried cold weld.

      Polish the chrome fixture using a chrome polish and a soft, clean towel.
