3
Trim the areas that are not thin or patchy as normal, but be careful not to trim the hair too much or it will be hard to cover the thinner areas.
-
4
Trim only unruly or wiry hairs that are growing in your thinner areas. Leave the rest of the hair alone so it will match up with the rest of your beard.
-
5
Apply a small amount of pomade to the thin areas of your beard so you can control the direction the hairs are going. Comb the area after the pomade is on so the hairs are pulled toward the thinnest areas to help cover them.

Tips & Warnings
Don't apply too much pomade or your beard will look greasy.
Consider a new facial hair style. Shave off everything but a goatee if most of your thin areas are on your cheeks.
Take breaks regularly while trimming your beard to check your work. It's easy to get carried away and trim too much hair, making your thin areas more noticeable.
