Office dividers can make sure that cubicle space is portioned off properly.

Office dividers are temporary walls that you can put up to partition the space in a room for maximum efficiency. If you have an office made up of cubicles, then the walls of the cubicles should be made of the same material as the partition you're using to keep things universal. Once you've decided where you put your office divider, though, it's just a matter of assembling the brackets and screws to keep everything firmly in place.

Instructions

    • 1

Set up your office divider so that it cuts the cubicle in the way you desire. Make sure that at least one end of the divider is pressed up against a cubicle. However, it's preferred that you have as much support as possible for the divider, which means you should have each end touching a cubicle to create a full wall.

    • 2

Screw the divider wall to the cubicle walls. Place 90-degree angle brackets against the cubicle wall and the divider, and screw the brackets in place. Add three to each side of the divider -- one at the top, middle and bottom of the wall. Repeat the process at the other end, if the divider presses against two cubicle walls.

    • 3

Screw the divider to the floor using more brackets. When this isn't a feasible option, screw a wide, 90-degree foot to the wall that will help keep it stable while the rest of the foot remains on the floor. Attach a foot to each side of the divider, using at least one at each corner of the divider that rests on the floor.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are partitions that use their own system of locking brackets, or which come as single-wall partitions meant to be set on the floor. Follow the instructions for each system when buying dividers or cubicle walls that come with unique assembly methods.
