How to Make a French Maid Headband
A French maid costume can make a woman feel sexy. In addition to the French maid dress, a number of accessories are needed to pull this costume together, including an apron, a duster and a headband. You can make a French maid headband on your own, using a few basic supplies.
Things You'll Need
- Measuring tape
- Tailor's chalk
- Black satin
- White lace trim
- Fabric glue (optional)
- Hot glue
- Large gem or bow
- Black ribbon
- Headband

Measure from the top of your left temple to the top of your right temple.

Draw an oval on a piece of black satin using tailor's chalk. The length of the oval should be the same length as the measurement you just took. The width of the oval should be about 2.5-inches.

Cut a piece of white lace trim long enough to wrap around the circumference of the oval.

Sew the lace trim around the circumference of the oval. If you don't know how to sew, you can use fabric glue.

Hot glue a large gem or lacy bow to the middle of the oval.

Wrap a piece of black ribbon around a plain headband, so that the entire headband is covered, adding dabs of hot glue to the back of the ribbon to hold it in place.

Hot glue the length of the oval to the top of the headband, making sure it is centered.
