Instructions

Christmas Ball
-
1
Gather together glass ornament balls, white glue, glitter, cotton balls, clothes hangers and two to three shallow containers.
-
2
Fill one shallow container with just enough white glue to cover the bottom. Pour your choice of glitter into separate shallow containers. Get creative and mix up your own glitter combinations.
-
-
3
Attach the ornament hanger to the top of the ball, then grasp the top of the ornament. Dip the cotton ball into the glue, and apply a thin coat over the entire surface with it. Gently roll the ball in the glitter, or hold the ball over the container and sprinkle glitter onto the ornament.
-
4
Hang the ornament onto a clothes hanger. This allows the ball to dry without becoming smudged.
-
5
Use fun-shaped sponges to create a different design. Attach an ornament hook to the top of the ornament, hold the top of the ball, and dip the shaped sponge into the glue. Gently press the sponge onto the side of the ball. Hold the ornament over the glitter container, and sprinkle glitter onto the glue shape. Work your way around the ball using the same shape, or try different shaped sponges for more fun. Hold the ornament over the container, and sprinkle glitter onto the glue shapes, using as many different colors as you like. Hang the ball on a clothes hanger until it is completely dry.

6
Repeat the process for the other ornament balls.
Star Ornament
-
7
Gather the supplies needed for the project, including plain paper, a star cookie cutter, white glue, glitter and matching ribbon.
-
8
Place a sheet of computer paper on the table, and trace a star cookie cutter onto the paper. Use a sharp-pointed cookie cutter for better detail.
-
9
Place a sheet of wax paper over your traced star. Trace the star outline with standard white glue. Use the tip of the bottle to direct the line of glue around the entire star and each of its points. Use an adequate amount of glue to form your star's wall, then fill the star in with the glue.
-
10
Sprinkle a generous amount of glitter evenly over the entire star. You can use one color, or get creative and mix different color glitters together.
-
11
Let the star dry completely, which will take approximately three days. Carefully lift the star from the wax paper once it has hardened. Gently shake or tap off any excess glitter, then punch a hole at the top of the star using a hole puncher. Slide the ribbon through the hole, and tie a neat bow at the top. Allow the glitter to dry a few more days if you want the star to harden a little more.
Pine Cone Ornament
-
12
Gather the items needed for this project, including small- to medium-sized pine cones, glitter, craft glue, a small-tip paintbrush and ribbon. Cover your working area with old newspaper to prevent messes.
-
13
Hold the top of the pine cone firmly with one hand. Dip a thin-tip paintbrush into the craft glue, and apply a generous coat to the cone petals. Apply the glue in small sections at a time; otherwise, the glue will dry before you have a chance to apply glitter.
-
14
Hold the pine cone over the newspaper. Sprinkle a large pinch of glitter onto the glue. Apply glue to another section of the pine cone, and sprinkle with an adequate amount of glitter. Use one color glitter for the whole cone, such as silver or gold, or combine colors for a more festive look, such as silver and blue, red and green or silver and gold.
-
15
Shake or tap the pine cone gently to remove any excess glitter. Keep the pine cone over the newspaper for easy cleanup. Turn the pine cone upside-down, and repeat this process on the underside of the cone petals.
-
16
Cut off a 5- to 7-inch piece of ribbon. Thread the ribbon through the stem of the pine cone, and tie a neat bow at the end. Hang the pine cone up, or place it on a piece of wax paper. Allow the pine cone to completely dry.
-
17
Repeat the process for the other pine cones.
