How to Keep Spaghetti Warm for My Kid's Lunch
Kids love most types of pasta, including spaghetti. It's versatile and can be topped with a variety of sauces. Pasta contains plenty of carbohydrates, so it is a favorite carb-loading dish for athletes. To eat spaghetti at its best, it needs to be slightly al dente and moist. Unfortunately, spaghetti can end up a sticky glutinous mess if not served immediately after it's cooked because it contains a lot of starch. However, there is an easy way to stop this from happening. Cook your kid's spaghetti following the instructions on the package. However, reduce the cooking time by about a minute. This means the spaghetti won't be overcooked when you serve it to your kid.

Turn off the heat, and pour the spaghetti into a draining bowl or sieve.

Put the pan back on the stove, ensuring that the heat is off. Put the draining bowl containing the spaghetti into the pan.

Pour a little olive oil over the spaghetti. Give the spaghetti a quick shake, so the oil coats the moist spaghetti.

Cover the draining bowl with the pan lid. This keeps in the moisture and the heat.

Tips & Warnings
If the spaghetti has cooled or stuck together before serving, refresh it by pouring a little boiling water over it, then use a fork to separate sticking strands.
