How to Load a Phone Photo to Facebook thumbnail
Sign up for an email upload address to upload phone photos to Facebook.

Smartphone-users can upload photos direct to Facebook with the photo upload tool in the Facebook Mobile application, but this service isn't available on standard cellphones. If you've taken photos on your cellphone's integrated digital camera and stored them on the device, you can share them with friends by uploading them to Facebook. To upload a phone photo to Facebook, you'll need to register for a personal Facebook upload email address and send the photo to Facebook as an email attachment.

Instructions

    • 1

Navigate to Facebook.com and click "Mobile" on the bottom of the page. This opens the Facebook Mobile homepage.

    • 2

Sign in to Facebook with your regular Facebook user name or email address and password.

    • 3

Click the "Send my upload email to me now" link in the "Upload via Email" section at the bottom of the page. This launches a new dialog box that displays your existing registered email address.

    • 4

Click "Send Email." Facebook sends an email containing your personalized Facebook upload email address.

    • 5

Launch your cellphone's email application. Open the Facebook email. Copy the Facebook upload email address contained in the message.

    • 6

Create a new email message on the cellphone. Attach the stored photo that you want to load onto Facebook. Enter a description of the photo into the email title or subject field. Facebook uses the text in this field as the photo caption.

    • 7

Type the personalized Facebook upload email address into the email's "To" or "Address" field. Send the email. This uploads the photo and caption to your Facebook account. The image appears on your Facebook profile page, homepage and in the "Mobile Uploads" folder on your Facebook Photos page.
