Instructions

    • 1

Check to make sure the dryer door is shut tightly and that the electrical plug is plugged in snugly if there is no power. Also make sure to hold down the start button in the "On" position for at least five seconds.

    • 2

Check the circuit breakers at the fuse panel to ensure the breakers were not accidentally tripped if there is no power to the machine. If the switches have been tripped, flip them back to the "On" position and try the dryer again.

    • 3

Check and replace fuses if the dryer will not start or does not seem to be drying. To do this, unplug the machine and pull it from the wall. Remove the back panel screws and take off the panel. The thermal fuse is a white, plastic piece located near the vent hose. It will have two wires connected to each end. Disconnect the wires by hand, use a wrench to remove the retaining bolt and remove the old fuse. Set the new fuse in place and tighten the retaining bolt. Plug the connectors back in, replace the back panel and push the vacuum back in.

Remove and empty the lint tray if the dryer does not seem to be drying properly. The lint tray should be removed and cleaned before each load.

    • 5

Check the exhaust vent if clothes do not seem to be drying properly. To do this, turn on the dryer, walk outside and feel to make sure hot air is being expelled through the vent. If it is not, use a wire clothes hanger to free any clogs.

Press and hold down the power button if the dryer cycle was interrupted by a power failure and you receive a "PF" (power failure) message on the display screen.
