How to Make a Cardboard Lambo

Even though Lamborghini began its production life as a tractor company, the Italian manufacturer's owner, Ferruccio Lamborghini, had been fascinated with cars and motorcycles from an early age. Disappointed in popular sports cars during the 1960s, Lamborghini began designing and crafting his own super-car. Since then, Lamborghini cars have combined high-performance with luxury for consumers with money to spend. If you would like to make a cardboard cutout of a Lamborghini, you need examples of the particular year and model you want to recreate.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay the cardboard sheet on a flat surface to help you create the basic outline of the Lamborghini. Position the sample pictures of this car next to the sheet and sketch out the basic outline of this car. If necessary, use an industrial ruler to assist you in creating the straight lines.

    • 2

Cut the outline of the Lamborghini out of the cardboard with a circular saw. Use this saw outside or in a workshop environment, as cutting cardboard makes quite a mess. Move slowly through each of the sections until the piece has been properly cut.

    • 3

Paint the entire surface of the Lamborghini cardboard cutout with the color you have chosen for this car. Typical colors for Lamborghinis are yellow, orange, red and black, but modern models feature many more options for consumers. Let the ink dry.

    • 4

Use the black paint to carefully detail each of outlining sections of the Lamborghini, such as the windows, door, wheels and air vents. Paint with a thin brush and move slowly to create precise lines with this color.

    • 5

Let the paint completely dry, then make sure all areas of the cardboard cutout are to your liking. Paint over any sections of the Lamborghini that you are unsatisfied with, then let the second coat dry.

    • 6

Turn the cardboard cutout of the Lamborghini over so that the painted side is face down. Cut two pieces of fishing line off of the spool and staple to this back portion of the cardboard. This will help someone hold the Lambo cutout for use in a play or other purpose.
