How to Crochet a Pineapple Lampshade
Using pineapple motifs on a crochet lampshade cover remakes and old lamp and adds a vintage touch to your home décor. Chain 11, double crochet in fifth chain from hook, double crochet in next two chains, chain two, skip next two chains, double crochet in last three chains. *Chain three, turn work, double crochet in stitch below twice, chain two, double crochet in stitch below three times * Repeat instructions between the asterisks until piece is long enough to fit around the top of your lampshade.

Using your pineapple doily pattern, locate where the pineapple motif begins. This is usually the first round using a shell stitch.

Crochet along the side of the band, following the instructions for the doily round. Join round. Continue to work the lampshade following the doily pattern.

Tips & Warnings
Starching your lampshade cover will add stiffness and help show off your stitchwork.
Keep your ribbon from unraveling by melting the raw edges. Holding the raw edge close to an open flame. Be careful not to set the ribbon on fire.
