In the "Pokemon" games, Mamoswine is a creature that resembles an oversized boar. In battle, Mamoswine wields incredible physical strength. This power allows it to use attacks such as Take Down and Earthquake. In addition, Mamoswine is resistant to Poison-type attacks and immune to Electric-type moves. To obtain this heavyweight creature in "Pokemon Platinum," you must evolve Piloswine.

Travel to Snowpoint City in northern Sinnoh.

Walk west to Route 217. This short trip will take you through the Acuity Lakefront area.

Turn on the Poke Radar. Patches of grass will rustle in response to this device.

Examine the patches of rustling grass until you encounter a wild Piloswine. Piloswine's encounter rate is 12 percent.

Weaken the wild Piloswine with attacks. Its weaknesses include Fighting-, Steel-, Fire-, Water- and Grass-type attacks.

Enter the house that is closest to the harbor.

Talk to the man inside. For a Heart Scale, he will teach your Pokemon an attack it has forgotten. Ask the man to teach Piloswine the Ancient Power move.

Exit the house and search for wild Pokemon or rival trainers to battle.

Allow Piloswine to battle until it has enough experience points to grow to another level. It will evolve into Mamoswine.
