How to Make a Lingerie Runway Bridal Shower

Spice up a bridal shower with a lingerie fashion show.

Typically at a bridal shower, a traditional gift given to the bride is lingerie for her to take on her honeymoon. Although the lingerie is usually wrapped and presented as a gift, the presentation of the lingerie can be transformed into a form of entertainment for the bridal shower. Crafting a bridal lingerie fashion show can showcase the lingerie gifts to the bride in a humorous and unconventional manner that will likely become the highlight of the event.

• Christmas lights
• Strobe light

• Novelty veils
• Blow-up doll (optional)

Instructions

1. Set up an area to be transformed into a fashion runway for the lingerie fashion show at the shower venue. A private venue, such as someone's home, will work best if you are planning a bridal lingerie runway presentation.

2. Designate the runway area by creating a pathway marked with strands of Christmas lights. Set up a strobe light at the back of the runway to further highlight the models. Position a curtain or a screen partition at the back of the runway to shield the models from view.

3. Ask the bridesmaids to dress in the bride's lingerie, wearing bathing suits underneath, if they are comfortable with the task and if their size and stature are similar to that of the bride. You may use only a few of the bride's bridesmaids that you rotate between for the presentation. You could also opt to dress a blow-up doll up in the various lingerie for the presentation.

4. Assign girls to dress and walk the lingerie-clad blow-up dolls down the runway, if you opted out of dressing up yourselves.

5. Place a novelty veil on the heads of the girls modeling the lingerie or carrying the doll that is modeling the lingerie.

6. Seat the bride at the front of the runway so she has a clear view of the various styles.

7. Cast an MC for the event that introduces each model and describes each piece of lingerie for the audience. For example, a flirtatious white negligee the announcer could introduce by saying "Bridesmaid Megan is presenting a white negligee from Victoria's Secret that is perfect for the wedding night."

8. Take photos of the event to add to the bride's scrapbook of wedding memories.
