How to Make a Felt Fairy
Fairies, good or evil, work as a fun and customizable felt craft. All a fairy has to have is a set of wings. All of the other details of the fairy are up to you. For example, make an evil fairy by dressing it in a black or dark red dress. Give the evil fairy an evil or cunning facial expression. Another way to customize the fairy is with glitter. Glitter comes in dozens of different colors. Use pink and white shiny glitter for a good, sweet fairy, for example.

1
Place the fairy stencil on a piece of felt. Trace the parts of the fairy onto the felt with the marker. You can use a different color for each part, if desired, by just tracing the part you need on a certain color of felt. You need the body, head, arms, legs and wings of the fairy.

2
Cut out each piece. Use scissors that cut fabric only and are sharp. Dull scissors will not cut felt cleanly.

3
Lay a piece of felt on a flat surface. This piece acts as the background, so use a color you did not use to make the fairy parts. Spread glue on the back of the torso. Press it onto the felt. Spread a thin layer of tacky glue on the arms and legs of the fairy. Lift up the edges of the torso to tuck the legs and arms into the proper position. Spread glue on the back of the wings. Press them onto the fairy's back. Glue the head onto the fairy's body.

4
Cut out small eyes, mouth and hair from the felt scraps. Draw the clothing the fairy will wear on felt. Cut it out. Glue the pieces in place.

5
Spread a thin layer of tacky glue over the front of the wings. Shake glitter onto the glue. Let the fairy dry for six to eight hours. Shake the dry fairy over a trash can to remove the loose glitter.
