How to Check Margins With Acrobat

Adobe Acrobat is a PDF-creation (Portable Document Format ) application. In addition to creating PDF files using printable material from other programs, the Acrobat programs provide you with many tools to edit PDF documents. One of these features is the ability to check and change the margins on PDF files. You can view the current margin settings and change them to new ones, if necessary.

      Launch Acrobat and open the PDF file that contains the margins that you want to check. Note that the following steps apply to all three versions of Acrobat (Standard, Pro and Suite).

      Click the "Choose Tools" menu and highlight the "Print Production" option to display a list of available features. Click the "Set Page Boxes" option, which will open a separate dialogue window.

      Check the "Show All Boxes" box on the Set Page Boxes window to display the margins. Note the "Top," "Bottom," "Left" and "Right" margin listings in the "Margin Controls" section. You may use the "up" and "down" arrows next to the margin listings to change any margins as desired. Click the "OK" button to save any changes or close the dialogue window.
