The dishwasher has a control board, located in the control housing of the appliance that functions as the dishwasher's brain. Locate the dishwasher circuit breaker in your electric service panel.

Turn off the dishwasher breaker circuit, allowing it to remain in the "Off" position for at least 30 seconds.
