How to Make a Swirl Friendship Bracelet
Friendship bracelets are given by one person to another as a reminder of the friendship that they share. The bracelets are normally made from strands of colored cord tied together. You can make a swirl design friendship bracelet from two different colored strands. These differ from friendship bracelets, which are made from arrangements of knots in the strands. You need to tie the strands to an anchor as you make the knot.

Cut three strands from each of the two different, colored strings. Each strand needs to be 30 inches long.

2
Group the strands together. Make a loop in the end of the strand group. Feed the loose end of the group through the loop and pull it tight to create an overhand knot.

Attach the knotted end of the group to a secure object, such as a clipboard or safety pin attached to your pants. Separate the different strands. Group the colors together in groups of two. Arrange the colors in an alternating way.

Pass the thread on the furthest right-hand side underneath the two middle strands. Pass it back over the center left strand. Pass the thread on the furthest left-hand side underneath the two middle strands. Pass it back over the center right strand. Pull the threads tight to keep the strands together. Repeat the step until you have a long enough swirl design.
