How to Adjust an Elgin Pocket Watch
Elgin was an American watch company producing watches from 1864 until the 1960s. They produced a range of pocket watches which used to be a status symbol for a "gentleman." Adjusting the watches depended on whether it was a stem set or lever set watch. You can adjust the time on the watches by turning the crown after you have set the lever or pulled it out. Pull the crown out on a stem set pocket watch. Turn the crown to adjust the time. Push the crown back in to restart to watch.

Remove the bezel of the watch if it is a lever set watch.

Pull the lever out of the notch concealed beneath the bezel.

Turn the crown to adjust the watch time. Push the crown back in to restart the watch.

Turn the crown back and forth to wind the watch.
