How to Make a Watermark in "Aperture"
Your images are susceptible to theft when they are published on a public site, as anyone can save the image and use it as his own without your permission. As a safeguard, Aperture 3 provides image watermarking to protect your original images from unethical use. An embedded watermark appears in the image, and cannot be disabled by anyone except for the creator of the watermark for effective theft prevention. A watermark is an image that typically mentions your name or website, which is then imported into Aperture for use in the image you wish to label as your own.

Tips & Warnings
Save your watermark image in Photoshop as a PSD file for high-quality watermarks in Aperture. Set the Photoshop image to a transparent background to prevent a noticeable border when embedding the watermark in the image.
