How to Make a Balloon Princess Wand
Every princess needs a magic wand. Princess wands can be created easily at home. Balloon princess wands can be used as birthday party favors or costume props. Allowing children to observe a balloon being transformed into a princess wand is a classic form of children's entertainment. Further, these balloon masterpieces can be played with for hours after they've been made. Simple to make, balloon wands are the ideal decoration or toy for any event that a princess will attend.

1
Blow up the balloon until it is 16 inches long. Tie the end of the balloon into a knot. Leave a length of balloon that has not been inflated at the end furthest away from the knot.
-
2
Twist the bottom section of the balloon to create an air bubble that is less than one inch in diameter. Repeat the twisting process to create three more air bubbles.
-
-
3
Tie the four air bubbles around themselves and pull one bubble through the middle. This cluster is the handle of the wand.
-
4
Twist the section of the balloon that is located four inches above the handle.
-
5
Twist the balloon directly above the four inch section to create an air bubble that is less than one inch in diameter. Repeat the twisting process to create two more air bubbles.
-
6
Tie the three air bubbles around themselves and pull one bubble through the middle. This cluster is the top of the princess wand handle.
-
7
Tie a knot at the end of the inflated part of the balloon. This knot will separate the expanded part of the balloon wand from the part with no air.
-
8
Cut a half inch piece from the end of the balloon. This will cause the air to leak from the non-expanded part of the balloon, while the air remains in the part of the balloon that is expanded. The non-expanded part of the balloon will act as a string.
-
9
Wrap the balloon string around the balloon in a spiral shape.
-
10
Tie the balloon string to the handle of the wand to secure the end.
