How to Follow Someone New on TweetDeck
Instead of logging into your Twitter account online, you can use the TweetDeck software to access your account. The software allows you to perform actions that are identical to the Twitter website, such as following a new Twitter user. When you follow a new user, their tweets are automatically updated on TweetDeck in real-time. Use the Quick Profile utility in TweetDeck to follow a new Twitter account.

Launch TweetDeck, then log into your account.

Click on the Quick Profile icon in the upper left corner of the window. The icon is the third one from the left.

Enter the user name of the person that you want to follow in the "List or User" box on the pop-up window.

Click the "Find Profile" profile button, then click "Follow" next to the person that you want to follow.
