How to Make an Object Out of Cardboard
Many household products are packaged in cardboard. This cardboard packaging can either be tossed into a recycling bin or reused. Because of it's versatility, cardboard can be fashioned into any variety of useful objects. Even if it can't be obtained for free, cardboard is widely available at an inexpensive cost. Cardboard comes in a variety of sizes, which enhances it's usefulness at making creative green crafts. Use new or recycled cardboard to make a castle.

1
Use scissors or a box cutter to cut out five pieces of cardboard. Each piece of cardboard should be the same size. These pieces will form the walls and floor of the castle.
-
2
Draw 1- to 2-inch vertical lines on one edge of four of the pieces of cardboard. Space the lines 1 to 2 inches apart. Draw horizontal lines on the inner edge, connecting every other vertical line to the line next to it. This line will form the shape of turrets on the top of the castle walls.
-
-
3
Turn one of the castle walls upside down and draw a rectangle on the bottom edge of the wall to serve as the castle door.
-
4
Use scissors to cut along the lines of the turrets and along the lines of the door.
-
5
Throw away the pieces cut from the turret. Save the rectangle cut from the doorway.
-
6
Connect the horizontal edges of each wall with tape to form an enclosure.
-
7
Set the castle on top of the cardboard floor. Affix tape to the castle and the floor to connect the two.
-
8
Attach the bottom of the door to the floor of the castle's doorway cutout with tape. This will form a drawbridge.
