1
Purchase a set of stainless steel mesh sieves online or at your local kitchen store.
-
2
Examine the sieves and find the one with the most porous mesh. Line them up on your counter from the most to least porous mesh grade.

3
Set your most porous sieve over a clean bowl or glass on your kitchen counter or in the sink. Carefully pour flour or seeds, crack eggs or strain wine through the sieve. Gently shake the sieve from right to left over the container until all the material runs through the sieve. Look into the sieve to see what sediment is left behind.

4
Place another bowl or glass on your counter or in your sink. Set the next most porous size mesh sieve over it. Pour the material from the first bowl into the sieve. Gently shake the sieve from left to right, sifting it again into the clean bowl or glass. Repeat this process with the finer sieve grades until pure flower, seeds, eggs without shells or wine without cork bits remains in your container.
