How to Melt Butter for Lobster
Lobster has a sweet, delicate meat that pairs well with melted butter. You can find this succulent pairing at restaurants, and with a little preparation you can make it yourself. It may be tempting to zap some on the fly but melting butter in the microwave isn't recommended. This type of uneven, quick cooking will separate the butter, making it unpalatable, even grainy. Things You'll Need
- Small saucepan
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. hot sauce

Place a small saucepan on the stove. Turn the heat to low-medium.

Add 1/2 cup butter -- not margarine -- to the saucepan. Pour in 1 tablespoon lemon juice and add 1 tablespoon chopped parsley. Sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1/4 teaspoon hot sauce.

Allow the ingredients to melt together, whisking them lightly. Do not scald or brown the butter.

Keep the melted butter concoction on low heat until you are ready to use it.

Leave off the garlic powder for a sweeter butter sauce.
