How to Get Heracross in "Pokemon Diamond"
Heracross is a bug- and fighting-type Pokemon with above average hit point, speed and defense statistics. To capture Heracross in "Pokemon: Diamond Version," you must lure it to a honey tree, which attracts certain Pokemon that wouldn't be obtainable otherwise. After rescuing a particular man in Floaroma Town, you will have access to honey, a crucial item for getting Heracross.

Go to Floaroma Town. Press the "Start" button and select "Map" to see your current location and the exact location of Floaroma Town, if you don't already know where it is.

Walk to the top-right section of the town and enter the Floaroma Meadow. Defeat the Galactic Grunts harassing the man. For helping him, the man will give you some honey for free. After the freebie, additional honey will cost you $100.

Go to any of the honey trees in the Floaroma Meadow, press the "A" button and place honey on a honey tree. Come back to the tree after eight hours. The tree will be shaking if a Pokemon is nearby. Approach the tree to see what Pokemon it is. Repeat the process of adding honey to the tree and waiting until you encounter a Heracross.

Use fighting-, psychic- or fire-based attacks to weaken Heracross. When its health bar is red, throw a PokeBall to catch it.
