How to Find Your TV's Headphone Jack
Though you most likely prefer hearing your television through its speakers, or through a separate surround sound system, you may also have the ability to listen to it through headphones. This method is ideal if you need to listen to the television quietly when others are sleeping or working. Finding your TV's headphone jack is a simple process that requires a little scouting around.

1
Open the small door on the front of the television, if applicable, that contains a number of different buttons. Though every TV set is different, many contain a small area below the screen that has a power button, volume controls and channel controls. This area may also contain a jack for headphones.

Turn the television around, or move behind it, and look for a headphone jack. The headphone jack will be a small hole that often has a colored, circular frame around it. It will also be identified with a small icon of a pair of headphones.

Check the sides of the TV for a headphone jack hidden in a subtle place. Not every television has a jack, but if yours does, it will likely be located on the front, back or one side of the television.

Tips & Warnings
If the jack is larger than the plug on your headphones, you will need to buy an adapter at an electronics store. You would then plug your headphones into the adapter and then plug the adapter into the TV's jack. Depending on the length of the headphones, you may also wish to consider wireless headphones or headphones with a long cable.
