How to Delete Emails Easily

Delete unwanted emails.

When you want to delete an email message from your online account, you simply open the message and click the "Delete" button. However, if you have several messages that you want to delete, it can be time-consuming to open each individual message. Instead, use the option to delete multiple messages simultaneously. This option is a standard feature in online email accounts regardless of the company that hosts the account.

Instructions

Gmail

1. Log in to your Gmail account, then click the check box next to each email message that you want to delete.

2. Click the "Delete" button at the top of the page. All of the emails transfer to the Trash folder.

3. Click the "Trash" folder, then click the check box next to "Delete Forever" at the top of the page to automatically select all of the email messages on the page. Click the "Delete Forever" button to permanently delete the messages.

AOL

1. Sign in to your AOL email account, then select the check box next to each message that you want to delete.

2. Click the "Delete" button at the top of the page. The email messages automatically transfer to the Trash folder.

3. Click the "Trash" folder on the left side of the page, then click the check box at the top of the page to the left of the "From" column. This action selects all of the emails on the page. Click "Delete" to delete the emails.

Yahoo!

1. Log in to your Yahoo! email account, then click the check box next to each email that you want to remove.

2. Click the check box at the top of the column of check boxes, then click the "Delete" button. The emails move to the Trash folder.

3. Click "Empty" next to the Trash folder on the left side of the page, then click "OK" to confirm that you want to permanently delete the email messages. This action deletes the messages.
