How to Troubleshoot "Castle Crashers Online"

"Castle Crashers" is an Xbox 360 game available through the Xbox Live Arcade. In addition to the single player mode, players can play with friends or strangers online cooperatively, allowing them to get assistance in the story. However, you cannot connect to the multiplayer servers unless everything in your setup is working properly. When you cannot connect, you must troubleshoot each aspect of your setup to see what is causing the problem.

Instructions

1. Verify your account is fully upgraded. Xbox Live Silver subscribers do not have access to playing with others online. You must have an Xbox Live Gold account to perform multiplayer actions.

2. Select "System Settings" under the My Xbox menu on your dashboard.

3. Select "Network Settings," followed by either "Wired Network" or "Wireless Network," depending on your connection type.

4. Press "A" to test your connection. Wait for the results to appear. Depending on your results, you can pinpoint where your connection is failing. For example, if you see an "X" before "Xbox LIVE," the Live servers may not be working properly. If you see the "X" before the "Network" or "Internet" options, your router may not be configured properly.
