How to Make a Valentine's Day Scavenger Hunt
Valentine's Day is a day to take time to show the people in your life that you appreciate and love them. You can take your significant other to dinner, spend extra time with your children or visit with friends and family who are important to you. One enjoyable way to celebrate the holiday is by hosting a Valentine's Day scavenger hunt. You can do this for one person, or you can host it for your entire family or group of friends.

1
Pick a theme for your scavenger hunt. If you're holding a hunt for your significant other, you may choose to have a romantically themed hunt. If you're holding a hunt for your family or for children, use a fun, family-friendly theme.
-
2
Pick out several spots around the house, around your neighborhood, or around your city where you want your hunters to go. For children and larger groups, it may be better to keep the hunt in a smaller area, such as your neighborhood. If you're holding this hunt just for your partner, you can send him to several different places around the city that are important to you or your relationship.

3
Put pictures or notes at each location that give the hunter a clue as to where she should look next. You can use riddles, actual photographs or drawings. For example, if you want your significant other to look for the next note underneath the bench at the park where the two of you first met, give her a riddle or take a picture of the bench to give her a clue about where she should go next.

Place something significant or special at the final destination as a reward for completing the scavenger hunt. For example, if you're sending your sweetheart around town, lead him back to your home where he can be surprised with a Valentine's Day meal or a candle-lit bubble bath. For children or families, lead them to a surprise of candies, chocolates, toys or other gift items with a Valentine's Day theme.
