1
Scrap out the contents of your lip gloss into a small pan using a toothpick. The lip gloss will lend the homemade lip balm its fragrance and tint. Also, most lip glosses are very wet and it will give your lip balm recipe its moisture.
-
2
Add 1 tbsp. beeswax to the mixture. Beeswax helps keep the moisture from the lip balm on your lips.

-
3
Add 1 tbsp. shea butter to the pan and warm it at medium heat on the stove. Shea butter is a natural moisturizer. Stir the mixture until it is all melted and combined.
-
4
Transfer the homemade mixture into an old lip balm container with a medicine dropper. Be sure it is cleaned out before you add the new lip balm.
-
5
Cool the homemade lip balm in room temperature. It should become solid and then cap it to cover.
