How to Make a Bridal Shower Sash
There are many duties to fulfill as a maid of honor: helping the bride with any arrangements when needed, making sure all the other bridesmaids are given the required information about the bridal party and throwing the bride a bachelorette party, which celebrates and honors the bride in her last days as a single woman. Depending on the type of bachelorette party being thrown, it's sometimes fun to dress the bride in attire that will attract extra attention and let everyone know just who is getting married. Making a personalized, homemade sash for the bride is frugal and fun.

1
Lay a plain sash on a flat surface so it is easier to work with.
-
2
Write the word or phrase of choice across the sash using a fabric marker. If you aren't confident in your freehand, you can use stencils to help you create a polished look. You can choose to write the bride's name, the words "bachelorette party" or anything else that you wish.

3
Apply puffy paint in a bright or bold color over the letters written with the fabric marker. Puffy paint tubes come with easy-to-use applicator tips . Allow the paint to dry thoroughly.
-
4
Turn the sash over and apply a line of hot glue down the right edge of the sash's front piece, on the opposite side that has the writing on it. Press a feather boa into the glue, using a wooden dowel to press down so you don't burn your fingers. Use scissors to snip away excess boa at the end of the sash.
-
5
Glue craft jewels to the sash, scattered over the entire outside. Wait for the first side to dry before flipping it over and doing the other.
-
6
Apply glitter glue around the jewels, around the letters and/or in random dots placed evenly over the sash. Hang the sash while it dries.
