Seven Way Nail Buffer Directions
Perfectly shaped and polished nails don't have to result solely from a beauty salon visit. You can give yourself a complete manicure right at home, given that you have the right tools. A perfect manicure does not consist only of nail clipping and applying nail polish. You need to file and buff nails for an appealing finish. According to Lunatips Nail Care, by buffing, you remove nail ridges, resulting in smooth and shiny nails which are prepared for nail polish. Use the Seven Way Nail Buffer with its many surfaces intended for buffing nails. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Soak a cotton pad in nail polish remover and rub nails with it to remove old nail polish, if necessary. Soak hands for about 10 minutes in a bowl of soapy water. This helps soften the nails, making buffing even easier. Dry with a clean towel. Your nails are now ready for buffing.

2
Look at the Seven Way Nail Buffer, which is color coordinated. Each color is a different surface and serves a different purpose in the nail filing and buffing process. For best results, follow the colors in order. File nails with the flat sides of the buffer and buff them with the rounded sides.

3
Shape nails with the dark blue part of the Seven Way Nail Buffer first, which is the most coarse. Hold the buffer in your hand as you would hold a pen, and holding it vertically against the nail you want to file, gently rub it against the edge of your nail until you reach a desired length and shape. File nails into a rounded, square or oval shape. Repeat for all nails on both hands, making sure to keep them at a similar length and in a similar shape.
-
4
Change to the light blue side of the buffer which is a medium grit. This side is used for final shaping. Use it once you have reached a desired length and shape of each nail.
-
5
Neaten the edges of your nails with the light pink side of the buffer. This fine grit is less coarse than the blue sides and will smooth the edges of your nails. At this point, you are done with nail filing. Your nail edges should be smooth and even, without any sharp edges. Repeat steps 3 to 5 if you need to fix nail edges.
-
6
Buff nails first with the green side of the Seven Way Nail Buffer. This surface helps even out the surface of the nail. It minimizes any bumps that might be present on your nails' surface. When buffing, gently rub the surface of the buff against the surface of your nail in circular motion.
-
7
Buff nails with the blue buff which helps smooth the surface of your nails. At this point, the surface of your nails should be even, neat and smooth. However, nails will seem a bit matte and devoid of shine, which is normal.
-
8
Buff nails with the purple buff to give them a natural shine. Nails will turn from matte to shiny within seconds.
-
9
Polish nails with the magenta surface of the buffer. This buff gives nails a final polish and shine. Nails should be even, smooth, polished and shiny. Push back cuticles with a cuticle stick to complete your manicure. Apply nail polish if desired.
