How to Expand a Document in Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator is a vector-drawing application, though it can also process and work with raster images. Though Adobe Illustrator is not optimized for resizing images, you can still expand an image or document's size: after you have created your document in Illustrator, resize the aggregate image to expand or decrease the size of the document. Vector graphics resize without loss of quality, whereas pixel-based raster graphics degrade as they are expanded.
