How to Make Skin Dye
Making your own skin dye is a cost-friendly way to decorate your body with a temporary tattoo. The trick to dying your own skin is to employ India ink. The consistency of India ink is very thin, to allow for free-flow and complicated designs for shapes, cartoons and other characters. Once your temporary tattoo is applied to your body, show it off to friends and family for the four weeks it will remain on your skin.

2
Boil a small pot of water. Open a safety pin. Drop the pin into the water. Boil the pin for 15 minutes. Turn off the heat.

3
Remove the pin from the water. Wipe the entire pin with rubbing alcohol. This results in a sterilized pin.

4
Dampen a clean towel and keep it nearby.

5
Dip the tip of the pin into your India ink. Puncture the skin slightly with the tip to allow the ink to enter and dye your skin. Wipe the area clean with the rag. Continue until the design is finished. Choose a tough area of skin to perform this step.

Massage the tattooed area with unscented lotion at least four times per day for 14 days. Rub lotion into the tattoo whenever the skin feels constricted or tight.
