How to Make Gooey Paint
Finger paints not only introduce young children to art, but they help build dexterity and hand-eye coordination. While there are many ways to make finger paints, using gelatin results in a gooey consistency and fruity smell children love. Using gelatin to make finger paints is especially good for toddlers and younger children, because the paints are completely edible. Be aware, however, that some flavors of gelatin may temporarily dye hands. The stain left by red gelatin is typically the hardest to wash clean.
