How to Water Skip on an ATV
Since ATVs are small, but powerful, they will glide over small bodies of water. It requires a lot of skill and speed to do this. Wear a riding helmet, gloves and chest plate to help prevent injuries while trying to ride across water.

1
Find a plot of water that is not deep and is around 20 feet long. An ATV skips water for only a few feet, so you do not want the ATV to drown once it starts going into the water.
-
2
Move 50 feet or more away from the water.
-
-
3
Drive towards the water as fast as you can.
-
4
Stand up on the ATV and grip the handlebars tightly as you hit the water.
-
5
Straighten the handlebars if they start going off-center. Keep the accelerator down as you finish driving over the water.
