Stardoll, an online world where players dress avatars in funky clothing and makeup, holds a daily contest. During the contest, known as National Covergirl, players vote on specific avatars. The avatar with the most votes wins the title and the right the display their avatar on the daily National Covergirl page. Votes are nation-specific and players can earn the National Covergirl title an unlimited number of times. Stardoll encourages players to vote for the best-dressed avatars.

Log in to your Stardoll account and click on the "My Page" tab.

Click on the "Beauty Parlor" tab. Look through the makeup options on the right. Click on a makeup style to apply it to your avatar. To look through additional options, press the "Next Page" button.

Press the "Fashion Design" tab. Look through the clothing options on the right. Click on an item of clothing to apply it to your avatar. To look through additional options, press the "Next Page" button.

Press the "Photo" icon. Drag a box around your avatar and release the mouse. Take several photos, with the focus on different areas of the body. For example, take a close-up of your avatar's face and a picture that includes only the face and torso.

Click on the "My Page" tab. Scroll to the "About Me" area of the page and press the "Edit" button.

Write a short message, explaining why you want to be National Covergirl. Encourage others to vote for you with a brief, clear message similar to "Please vote for me as National Covergirl."

Press the "Attach Image" button. Locate the image of your avatar in her current costume. Highlight the image and press the "OK" button. Add a second or third image, if desired.
