Instructions

    • 1

Open the mounting bracket and locate the package of screws. Look at the back of your television for the threaded mounting holes. Locate the screws that fit the holes. Mounting brackets come with a large number of screws for various manufacturers.

    • 2

Hold the mounting bracket up to the brick wall until it is in the desired hanging location. Use a pencil to draw marks on the wall through each of the mounting bracket screw holes. Set the mounting bracket aside.

    • 3

Insert a 1/4-inch carbide-tipped bit into a hammer drill and don safety glasses for protection. Drill a 1-inch-deep hole into the brick wall at the locations of each of the pencil marks.

    • 4

Vacuum out the holes using a hose attachment to remove all dust from inside of them.

    • 5

Insert a tube of masonry glue into a caulk gun and snip the tip off 1/4 inch from the end with scissors. Squeeze the glue into each of the holes on the brick wall until they are half full. Wipe off any excess glue immediately to prevent it from staining the brick surface.

    • 6

Insert a plastic wall anchor into each hole by tapping it gently with a hammer until it is flush against the surface.

    • 7

Insert the proper screws for your model of television into each of the plastic wall anchors by turning them clockwise until they will no longer move. Raise the mounting bracket into position over the screws and screw a nut on top of the screws to hold the bracket to the wall.

    • 8

Raise the television up to the mounting bracket and align the holes in the back with the projections on the bracket. Slowly lower the television downward until the mounting bracket grips it firmly.

Tips & Warnings

  • Not all anchors require masonry glue, so read the instructions for your anchors carefully and follow them.
