How to Route AOL Mail to Gmail

AOL Mail is the email service connected to an America Online account. If you use multiple email accounts, you can have your AOL Mail messages routed to another service, including Gmail, Google's free email service. Routing your AOL Mail messages to Gmail automatically forwards them directly into your Gmail account, eliminating the need to open AOL Mail in order to check your email.

Instructions

1. Sign in to your AOL Mail account.

2. Click "Settings" on the top navigation menu.

3. Click the "General Settings" link and select "Forwarding."

4. Click the radio button next to "Forward a copy of incoming mail to."

5. Type the Gmail account address into the provided field. Be sure to include the "@gmail.com" portion of the address.

6. Click the "Save Changes" link to enabling email routing.
