How to Import Google Chrome Information to Opera

To import your Google Chrome information, such as bookmarks, into Opera, you must first export them to the hard disk, then use Opera's "Import Firefox Bookmarks" feature to import them. Google Chrome and Firefox both use the HTML format to save bookmarks, so there should be no issues when importing Google Chrome bookmarks with Opera's "Import Firefox Bookmarks" feature.

Instructions

1. Open Google Chrome.

2. Click the wrench-shaped button on the right side of the Google Chrome address bar.

3. Point to "Bookmarks" and select "Bookmark Manager."

4. Click "Organize" and "Export Bookmarks." Specify a location to save the HTML file and click "Save."

5. Open Opera.

6. Click the "Opera" button, point to "Bookmarks" and select "Manage Bookmarks."

7. Click the "File" button and select "Import Firefox Bookmarks."

8. Select the Google Chrome bookmarks HTML file that you saved earlier and click "Open" to import the bookmarks.

Tips & Warnings

• You cannot import saved passwords, cookies and autofill information from Google Chrome to Opera.
