How to Make a Double Chevron Pattern thumbnail
Chevron patterns consist of inverted V-shapes.

The chevron decoration consists of one or more inverted V-shaped patterns. When used in clothing, home decor or artwork, the pattern tends to be bold and eye-catching. The double chevron consists of two inverted V-shaped patterns that are grouped together. The V-shapes might have a small amount of blank space between them, or no blank space if each V is colored differently. You can draw a double chevron easily using a ruler.

Tips & Warnings

  • Experiment with changing the sizes of and spaces between chevrons.

  • Create more interesting chevrons by coloring the left and right sides of each chevron with different colors.

  • If you want to make a double-chevron pattern that uses multiple sets of double chevrons, leave a good amount of space between chevron pairs, so the eye can immediately see which chevrons are and are not grouped.
